Cervical Spine is a kit of vertebrae in which nerves go through. At the back of vertebrae muscles and ligaments are protected and supported the spine.

Importance of Physiotherapy for Cervical Pain

If you have a cervical pain and your pain running with 10 to 15 days and the pain is gradually aggravated so you have to contact immediately with physiotherapist. Exercises for Cervical Pain

Shoulders Shrugs

Shoulders Shrugs

Raise your shoulders as high as you can and hold it for two to three seconds and then lower back down. Repeat eight to ten times.

Chin tuck

Chin tuck

Lie down flat on your back with your head flat and then tuck your chin down into your throat and hold for three seconds and then come back up. The goal is here to activate the deep neck flexors. It helps to open up your vertebrae so, i suggest this exercise who have headache all the time and experiencing stenosis type problems like numbness and tingling down in through your arms, shoulders and hand.

Lie down flat on your back and put your neck at the edge of the bed. now try to keep your neck and face flat towards the roof then slowly comes down and lift it straight up. It’s a great strengthening exercise.

Cervical lateral flexion

Sit with good posture then tilt the ear over towards your left shoulder until you get a good comfortable stretch all the way on this right side and if you need a little over pressure you can take your left hand up to the right side of your head and just apply a little gentle pressure to enhance that stretch. Hold it for 10 seconds then relax. Do the same to other side and repeat 3 time each side.

How to Avoid Cervical Pain?

Posture is a huge problem. Normal posture is our head should be right over our shoulders, our ears should be right over our shoulders. Mostly people spending there time on a phone, on a computer or whatever they do there posture is incorrect. When our shoulders round forward our neck comes forward puts a lot of stress on our neck muscles and that’s why causes neck pain and neck stiffness. So, maintaining posture can prevent you.

Manual techniques are very helpful in cervical pain. It may include;
